Quick update

7/11/11 Monday
It’s going to be a hot day. What will make it worse is the humidity will be in the mid 60% range. That means our evaporative cooler won’t work well so it will be hot inside as well. Thank God for fans. We hope to come up with enough money one of these days to buy a cheap window air conditioner. That way we can have one room we can go to for a little relief from the heat. It was hot all night so we didn’t sleep well. Something we ate didn’t settle well so we both had some late night bathroom time. Doing well this morning but don’t have a good energy level. Jim never called me so it looks like there is no more work to do there. I plan on taking a thank you card to him today for he was a great help to us.

There are still a few weeks left of college. Then we will be certified as building performance inspectors. Turning that into a business is the next challenge. First step is getting the $5000.00 plus in equipment required to do the job. God will provide.

Our electric bill came in. They had been estimating the bill for the well as it is a half mile away and the road has been covered with deep sand so is impassable. I suppose the meter reader just cut across the pasture, like I have to, in order to read the meter back there. As a consequence the electric bill was over two hundred dollars, about twice what we are used to. Of course lately we have been running the cooler all night too, just so we can get some sleep, so that didn’t help. If we do get a window air conditioner we will have to be careful how much we run it, as it can easily double our electric bill.

I finally got the letter written to our pastor. It was pretty long and detailed. Will be interesting to see how she reacts to it.

I’ve been outside on the farm already, looking at what needs to be done and turning irrigation on and off at different areas. I used to write this journal and post in the mornings but with the heat get out straight to work early while it is cool. By the time I get in I’m worn and don’t write. Thus there has been little in the way of blog posts for a month. Came in for a bit and used the time to write this as there have been many who worried because I wasn’t updating. Now it’s time to get out to work again so that’s it for now.

What is the letter to the pastor about?

I won't reveal that, as that would make me guilty of gossip and just wouldn't be right. Basically it's an attempt to communicate and resolve the problems that come when people don't talk and learn to understand the other. This lack of communication provides an avenue for the enemy to wreak havoc through suspicion and errors in judgment that come from that. It brings things to the light where all can see the truth, the Light where God operates.
